Franchise:Sushi Station
From Malaysia - Wiki Street Food
Sushi Station started its business since quite long ago. This Japanese style restaurant is located at the 6th floor of the very famous shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Wang Plaza. The restaurant sole proprietor, Alan Chan had by chance decided to open the restaurant around 2003 after having been a Japanese chef himself for some 20 years.
Since a few years ago, the restaurant is famous of it's economic price Japanese buffet and the sushi conveyor belt within the restaurant. For the eat all you can sushi buffet, the price which is around RM30 for an adult is quite cheap. Customer can drop their order as many time as they want from the menu. Anyway the restaurant will charge each 100g of leftover with RM10. While talking about the sushi conveyor belt, it is the only restaurant that is using a small train to deliver sushi around customer dining area. The idea is quite creative and a lot of customer get to know this restaurant because of their conveyor belt.
Currently the restaurant has another outlets within Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. Although Sushi Station is a well known Japanese restaurant around Sungai Wang area, the service quality has dropped. This is especially true on the environment of their main outlet in Sungai Wang Plaza. The restaurant looks gloomy, quite dirty and not well maintain. Which makes it a bit outdated compare to a lot of modern and newly open Japanese restaurant.
