Pahang:Brinchang Night Market

Brinchang is a town located in Cameron Highlands in the state of Pahang, Malaysia. It is the second tourist town in Pahang after Tanah Rata. One of its attractions is the night market (pasar malam in Malay) available during Friday, Saturday night and everyday on Malaysian school holidays.
This night market was used to be located in Brinchang town square (Around the central parking lot), but it has now been shifted to this new location at the street between Cactus Valley and Star Regency Hotel Apartments, which cover relatively a size of at least half of a football field.
Brinchang night market offers a wide variety of products. Apart from vegetables, fruits, flowers, souvenirs and clothes, the main attraction here is their great variety of local street foods. Other than the representative Cameron food like fresh strawberry stick with honey/chocolate cream, steamed sweet potato or sweet corn, fried sweet potato ball, fried fresh mushroom or vegetables, the night market also serves a lot of common foods like pancake, roasted chicken, fried chicken, ice-cream, cake, fried meat ball, Murtabab, Kebab and others. Although these foods are quite common in Malaysia night market, it become different when they are served in Cameron cold windy night.
In case if the visitor is not those person who is looking for local specialty or craving for food, taking a night walk in Brinchang night market and enjoy this stretch of wonderful atmosphere with their loved ones is not a bad idea. Anyway please be patient while looking for a parking slot nearby, especially during peak season.
