Within Penang, there are many well known restaurants that sell great food. Chin Bee Tea Cafe(晋美) is definitely one of these restaurants. Same like a pearl deep inside the ocean that should be discovered and receive more recognitions.

This humble restaurant started their business since November of 2008. It is also one of the largest Chinese tea suppliers to most of the restaurants and hawker centers in Penang. From the exterior of Chin Bee Tea Cafe, most people might think that it is just a place which serves solely tea with some light bites. But this assumption is actually wrong, the restaurant serves heavenly good Chinese Zhu Cha as well.

The 60+ years old master chef of this restaurant "Mah Lai Chong" is a profession in Chinese cuisine for more than 40 years of experience. He had work in overseas restaurants such as Ireland, UK and some Malaysia hotels/restaurants. Finally he decided to leave his previous job as a chef in Tai Tong Restaurant(大东酒楼) and join Chin Bee Tea Cafe. The chef, "MahLai Chong" whose actual name is John Lee, is very creative in inventing new dishes.

While talking about the food, there are a few highly recommended dishes. For example the Vietnamese style pork leg, special pork ribs, Rakkyo in-house Tao Fu, fresh fried fish head and others. The taste of almost every dishes here are stunning good and the tastiness is far above many Zhu Cha stalls/restaurants. Other than that, the restaurant also serves nice Hong Tou Mee and ordinary fried rice.

Besides of Zhu Cha, the restaurant also serves various types of tea here, such as Pu Er, Long Jing, Wu Yi and Tie Guan Ying Tea, which can fulfill every tea lover's tastebud. Overall Chin Bee Tea Cafe(晋美) is definitely a great restaurant with delicious foods, comfort environment and average price, which is a restaurant that can give surprise to food lover whom love to discover nice food.
