The cafe is also on of the local delights that had interviewed by 8TV famous program, Ho Chak.

Location

The cafe is located along the main road in Sungai Nibong, just beside D Aver Cafe. Going in the direction to the airport, you can spot it on the left, just after the T-junction.

Given the limited space for dining area, there were only two stalls selling different hawker's food. However, tables and chairs were placed on the roadside.

Food

Dhoby Ghaut Cafe consists of a few stalls. One is selling Char Koay Teow, another is selling some seafood side dish. The most famous one is the Dhoby Ghaut Koay Teow Soup stall. This stal with full menu like koay kak, fried koay teow, fried rice and seafood dishes. Duck meat koay teow thng remains his all time classic cuisine and he also created the Bean Sprout Duck dish.

Their duck meat koay teow thng comes with the usual ingredients like fish balls, duck meat and coagulated duck's blood. Although from the presentation of the soup, it look tasteless, but the actual fact is the soup was cooked for three hours with duck and pork bones and it tastes quite nice. It is good for those who would like something light. Anyway some people might think that it is nothing extraordinary about the soup.

Other than that, the Bean Sprout Duck Meat is also another signature dish of this stall. The idea of this dish comes from the Ipoh famous Bean Sprout Chicken. The duck meat is quite tender and while eating together with bean sprout, it taste juicier. Anyway some would feel that the duck is not as tender as chicken meat of Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken.
