While talking about having breakfast within Penang, the choice is quite limited compare to lunch and dinner. Most people will have their breakfast in either Dim Sum(点心) restaurant or wet market. No. 7 Fish Head Bee Hoon is one of the stall that can serve the purpose of having simple breakfast. This stall was even interviewed by The POPULAR Food Guide of Malaysia - Penang/Ipoh. The reason it is named as No. 7 due to it is located in a hawker center within Pulau Tikus and it's stall number is 7.

The stall is running by Mr. Tan since 1993. Although the business has been running for so many years, Mr. Tan is still passionate about his food. All the while he is selling mainly on three kind of dishes, which are fish head/meat Bee Hoon(鱼头/鱼肉米粉), fried bean noodle(炒豆签) and Luohan vegetarian dish(罗汉斋).

According to Mr.Tan, the soup base of fish head/meat Bee Hoon(鱼头/鱼肉米粉) is made from pork bones, chicken bones, fish bones and anchovies(江鱼仔) then boiled to a milky white before adding fresh grouper(石斑鱼) head and fish slices. Customer can also choose to have fried fish and topped with parsley(欧芹) and fried shallots(油炸葱). The taste of the soup base is quite clear, sweet and suitable for breakfast due to it is less oily. By having it with fresh fish slices become a perfect companion.

Another signature dish recommended by Mr. Tan is his fried bean noodle(炒豆签). Bean noodle is a kind of healthy food which mainly made from soy bean. The noodle here is slightly bigger than normal silver noodle (细米粉), and it's quite chewy, smooth and tasty. It is cooked with egg and fried fish slices.

While Luohan vegetarian dish(罗汉斋) is a kind of dish that can hardly find within Penang. The taste of Luohan vegetarian dish(罗汉斋) here is quite light, probably due to less condiment has been added.

Overall, No. 7 Fish Head Bee Hoon is able to provide satisfied breakfast, due to the ingredient is quite healthy, the price is average and the environment is less crowded.
