Penang:Nyonya Breeze
From Malaysia - Wiki Street Food
The owner is a floral stylist-turned-chef. Like most Nyonya ladies of her generation, Rosie had been nurtured and trained in culinary skills at a very young age. Her dream of owning a boutique restaurant took shape, where she presents her favorite dishes - 80 classic Peranakan cuisine in all.
The restaurant was initially located in Tanjung Bungah and newly shifted to Georgetown. One of the most famous recipe is Huan Chu Heak Masak Lemak, which diced potato, sweet potato leaves, prawns are stir-boiled with coconut milk. The aroma of which tantalizes palates and whets the appetite.
Instead of the food is very nice and like home cooked meal, the price would consider very cheap too. Without government tax, service tax and CIMB card owner even can get 10% discount on the total bill. Overall, the environment is good, the food is nice (Just like mum's home cook food, not oily and heavy) and the price is comparison to street food Chu Chao (煮炒). This is a great place for family and friends gathering.
