Perak:Ayer Tawar Hokchew Lu Mee (爱大华福州卤面)

Ayer Tawar (爱大华) is a small town of 30,000 people in the district of Manjung, state of Perak, Malaysia. It was primarily a rubber town and has slowly transformed itself into one of the more vibrant rural townships of Perak and is today well known for its unique Chinese Fuzhou cuisine. Other than the most famous Hokchew Kong Piang, people living here also loves to eat a kind of very local taste mee, which is Hokchew Lu Mee (福州卤面).
Within Ayer Tawar town area, there is a small wooden hut just beside SMJK Ayer Tawar which sells this kind of mee. This small little stall is own by a family and they open their business everyday from morning until noon. The Lu Mian in Ayer Tower or even a few nearby small towns is a bit different from other states. People here loves to eat Lu Mian which cook with Asparagus (芦笋), which taste so differently until some outsider can't accept this kind of delicious.
Anyway Hokchew Lu Mee (福州卤面) is definitely one of the most representative Hokchew cuisine. It is also a comfort experience to have a meal in this small little hut, which shaded by a big trees with soft wind then taste a big bowl of local Hockew Lu Mian (福州卤面) which serve by a friendly family. It is definitely one of the wonderful and relaxing experience that you can look for in this small town.
