Ipoh is one of the country in Malaysia which people loves to eat Liu Fen(料粉), which is a kind of meal consists of different kind of noodles and taken with Liu(料). While Liu is a kind of hand-made chinese food which is made with either fish or pork meat, with vegetable, Tao Fu or others.

CT Restaurant(镇东茶室) is an ordinary Chinese hawker restaurant that located in Ipoh Old Town. Inside the restaurant, there is a stall which is specialize in selling Liu Fen(料粉). The restaurant is just a few steps away from Sun Yuan Foong Restaurant (新源丰茶餐室) and even Tong Ki Coffee Shop.

Every morning, many people will come to this small stall to enjoy a simple breakfast. CT Restaurant Liu Fen noodle stall does provides different kinds of Liu for customer to chose. For example Yong Tao Fu, green chili with fresh fish filling, fried Fu Pei(腐皮), different kind of fish ball or meat ball and others. Anyway the variety of Liu is slightly lesser compare to some other stalls in Ipoh. Noodle wise, it taste not bad and can earn a slightly better than average rating.

Other than the ordinary Liu Fen meal, many customer here also like to order some roasted pork from a stall at a few shop lots away from CT Restaurant. The roasted pork taste quite good. The meat is tender and the skin is crispy. Dipping with their special chili makes this dish even better.

Overall, CT Restaurant Liu Fen noodle stall is not a stall to expect food to die for, but it is a good choice if customer wants to try some Ipoh local Liu Fen and have a simple economic breakfast.

Interior view
Ordinary Chinese Liu Fen stall with many tables and chairs. Although without air-cone, the interior does not hot due to the kitchen located at the front of the shop.

Dry noodle
Dry yellow and silver noodle. Customer can order mixture of different kinds of noodles together. Taste slightly better than average.

Liu
Different kinds of Liu. Choices are not that many compare to some other stalls. Taste wise is average and some Liu seems like not home-made.

Soup noodle
Ordinary soup noodle. No surprise.

Roasted pork
Roasted pork from stall at a few shop lots away from here. The meat is quite tender and the skin is crispy. Anyway the price is average.
