One of the main road to Ipoh town from Ipoh Kledang Hill is Lahat Road. Along this road, there is a junction to a small alley, Foo Wah Cheng Road that able to reach a small hut which is selling nice Yong Dao Fu noodle.

The environment of this place is very different compare to Lahat Road which is just a few steps away. Along Lahat Road, there are many modern manufacturing factories, new car show rooms or service centers. But the place that this Yong Dao Fu stall located in is actually a residential area, which is quiet, undeveloped and very small. When customer turn into this junction from Lahat Road, they might think of themselves are back to 80's.

Although this Yong Dao Fu noodle stall is quite isolated, their business is still very good, especially during lunch time. The main two reasons why this stall can receive good recognition from locals are because the food is tasty and cheap. Two of their signature dishes here are tiny fish ball and noodle with crispy Char Siu(roasted pork) topping.

The size of their fish ball here is very small, almost same size with traditional Chinese Tang Yuan(汤圆). When customer scoop from their soup, they can probably get 4 to 5 fish balls with a spoon. This creativity brings new experience to customer in having fish ball, thus it is quite famous. Every single fish ball is hand-made by the owner and it is very springy and tasty too.

The second signature dish is their noodle with crispy Char Siu(roasted pork). Usually Ipoh locals Liu Fen(料粉) is without any topping, but the version here is different. Their Char Siu is home-made and it is quite crispy. By topping it with noodle, the Char Siu aromatic sauce will be absorbed by the noodle and makes this dish even tastier.

Other than that, this small little stall also sells foods like pork skin curry(猪头皮咖哩), ordinary Yong Dao Fu and others. Most of these dishes are home-made as well. Overall, dining at Foo Wah Cheng Road noodle stall definitely can brings surprise to food hunter. The experience of looking for a tasty street food in a small wooden hut that located within an isolated area will most probably brings great satisfaction to diner.
