Perak:Jin Yu Man Tang Restaurant

Taiping is a town located in northern Perak, Malaysia. With a population of 191,104 (in 2007), it is the second largest town in Perak after Ipoh, the state capital. Although Taiping is not that famous in local foods compare to Penang and Ipoh, there are quite a lot of stalls/restaurants too, especially around Taiping town center.
At Jalan Sultan Abdullah, there is one air-conditioned restaurant that provides Chinese Zhu Cha cuisine, which is Jin Yu Man Tang Restaurant(金玉满堂酒家). Other than dine in service, the restaurant also provides wedding dinner and on-site buffet services.
The restaurant is located in a building which previously was Lido Cinema. After that, it became Lido Steak House and currently it turns out to become a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is located at second floor, with air-conditioned service and even free karaoke service in private room. Which allow customer to sing while enjoying their meal. Although the karaoke is free, pre-booking is recommended.

For dine in customer, there are varieties of ala-cart dishes to choose(Refer menu above). For example bean curd, venison, soup, pork, beef and many others. Although it doesn't bring much surprise in terms of the taste, as an overall the quality can still meet the expectation. The price is consider average in a medium size town like Taiping. As a summary, the restaurant is yet a nice place for people to dine in, have celebration and others.

Nice interior decoration, which tries to create environment that full with fun and joy.
Crispy chicken
Looks nice but taste average. The chicken is a bit dry.

The meat is quite soft but a bit hard to chew, average taste.

Braised bean curd with salted fish and chicken cube.

Chicken soup with Chinese herb as ingredient. The soup base is quite clear.

A small clay pot of soup can fill up 6 small bowls.
Interior
The window is with "rainy" equipment, to cool down the interior temperature and provide a different dining experience.
